Local Delivery

Local delivery is available to the following areas in New Jersey: Lakewood, Toms River, Howell, Jackson, Brick, and Manchester.

UPS Next Day Air

All nationwide orders are shipped frozen via UPS Next Day Air, packed with ice packs in insulated boxes designed specifically for perishable items. This is the only service level we offer. Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not ship via standard ground service.

UPS Next Day Air packages are typically delivered by the afternoon, though exact delivery times cannot be guaranteed. Unexpected events such as weather delays, traffic, or carrier disruptions can affect arrival. Lilac & Crème monitors all shipments and is available to assist if problems occur, but we cannot take responsibility for delays once the package leaves our warehouse.

UPS will leave your package at the door, no signature is required. If you have concerns about leaving a package unattended, we recommend shipping to an address where someone will be available to receive it.

In the rare event of a delivery delay, a package may arrive a day later than expected. You can track your shipment in real time using the UPS tracking number provided when your label is created. UPS may attempt delivery later in the day, reroute the package, or hold it at a local facility until delivery is possible.

Order Cutoff Times

Nationwide shipping: Orders must be placed by 12 PM EST to ship same day (Monday–Thursday). Orders placed after 12 PM will ship the following business day.

Local delivery: Orders must be placed by 12 PM EST for same-day delivery. Orders placed after 12 PM will be delivered the next business day.

Please note: We do not ship on Fridays, weekends, Jewish holidays, or legal holidays. Please plan accordingly to ensure timely delivery.

Selecting a Delivery Date

Please select your desired date of delivery during the checkout process. Kindly be aware that although we make every effort to accommodate delivery date preferences, Lilac & Crème cannot guarantee delivery on a specific day. Factors beyond our control, such as carrier delays or unforeseen circumstances, may affect the delivery date.

To ensure a smooth experience, we recommend scheduling your delivery date with ample time, considering possible delays that may occur during the shipping process. Lilac & Crème cakes can be frozen for up to six months without compromising their flavor or texture. This allows you to plan ahead and enjoy our delicious treats at your convenience. 

Shipping Rates

Shipping rates are calculated based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of your package and are displayed clearly at checkout before you complete your order. Rates are subject to change without prior notice due to fluctuations in carrier pricing.

Shipping perishable items requires overnight service and specialized insulation materials. The rates shown at checkout reflect the actual cost of delivering your order safely, with no markup.

Any additional fees such as customs duties or taxes imposed by the destination are the responsibility of the customer.

Seasonal Delivery Adjustments

During peak seasons, select areas within our typical shipping zones may be serviced through direct delivery rather than overnight shipping. In these cases, we may use temperature-controlled vehicles, such as freezer trucks, to transport orders frozen directly to your door, eliminating the need for insulated packaging and ice packs.

This service is arranged at our discretion based on location and delivery logistics. Delivery rates remain the same, as the cost of maintaining this level of care is comparable to overnight shipping.

What to Expect During Transit & Upon Arrival

Your cheesecake will arrive cold or partially frozen, this is exactly how it should be. The insulated packaging and ice packs are designed to maintain a safe temperature throughout transit.

To thaw before serving, place the cheesecake in the refrigerator overnight, or leave it at room temperature for approximately 4 hours. If you’re not ready to enjoy it yet, transfer it directly to the freezer.

Our cheesecakes can be frozen for up to six months without compromising their flavor or texture, giving you full flexibility when planning ahead for events or gifting.

Once your label is created, you’ll receive a UPS tracking number. Tracking updates begin once UPS scans the package into their system. During busier seasons, labels may be created in advance, so you may not see movement on your tracking link immediately.

Damages, Delays & Lost Packages

Please inspect your order upon reception. If your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us at orders@lilacandcreme.com as soon as possible so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Photo evidence is required. Please include a photo of the item with your initial contact. We are unable to approve claims for damaged items without it. All communications and photo evidence must be received within 7 calendar days of the delivery date. We are unable to process claims submitted after this window.

In the event that your package is delayed, lost, or damaged in transit, please contact us promptly. We will work with UPS to investigate and, if necessary, file a claim. We cannot guarantee the outcome of carrier claims or be held responsible for losses resulting from circumstances beyond our control.

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate and complete shipping information at checkout. Lilac & Crème cannot be held liable for delays, misdeliveries, or additional charges resulting from incorrect or incomplete address information.

Refunds

If your refund or partial credit is approved by our customer support team, you will be automatically refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved and you have not received it, please contact us at orders@lilacandcreme.com.

Returns & Exchanges

Due to the perishable nature of our products, Lilac & Crème cannot accept returns or exchanges, including on custom and personalized orders. Gift cards are also non-refundable.
